iamb is made by one person. If something is broken, confusing, or just slightly off, the fastest way to fix it is to tell us.

support@iamb.app reaches us directly. Include the device model (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro), iOS version, and a one-line description of what you were doing when the issue happened. Screenshots and screen recordings are extremely welcome.

Common questions

Where are my exported GIFs saved?

To your Photos library, in the album iamb writes back to after each export. If you denied photo-library write access, iOS will save it to the share-sheet destination of your choice instead. You can change permission anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → iamb.

My GIF looks grainy / banded.

GIF is limited to 256 colors per frame, so heavy gradients (skies, smoke, soft shadows) often band. Try the MP4 or Live Photo export format for the same clip — both keep full color depth and usually produce a smaller file as well.

Background removal looks wrong on my video.

Subject isolation uses on-device Vision. It works best when the subject is a person or animal with clear edges against a reasonably contrasting background. Hair, glass, and very low-light footage are the hardest cases. If a frame fails, scrubbing one second earlier or later sometimes finds a cleaner frame.

The export crashed or stalled.

Large clips at high resolution can run iPhone memory low. Try trimming the clip to under ten seconds first, lowering the export resolution one notch, or rebooting the device to free memory. If it keeps happening, please send us the clip's duration, resolution, and chosen export settings — that's usually enough to reproduce it.

I bought iamb Pro and it didn't unlock.

Open Settings → iamb Pro → Restore Purchases. App Store transactions occasionally take a minute to propagate. If restore doesn't work after a few minutes, email support@iamb.app with the Apple ID receipt — we'll get you unlocked.

How do I stop the anonymous telemetry?

Because the events are tied to a daily-rotated hash, not to you personally, there's no account-level toggle to flip. Deleting iamb from your device stops any further events from being sent. The full list of events the app reports lives in the privacy policy.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and pick the iamb Pro transaction. We're happy to help if Apple needs a confirmation from us — just write in.

iamb is shaped, week by week, by the people who use it. If a tool is missing, a button is in the wrong place, or you have a use case we haven't thought about — please tell us. Honest feedback from real users is the most valuable thing we receive.
