Privacy Policy

Summary
iamb is a local-first GIF, Live Photo, and MP4 maker. Your photos, videos, and projects stay on your device. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to understand how the app is used. We do not collect personal information, do not require an account, and do not show ads.
Data You Create
Source media you import, intermediate frames, segmentation masks, project files, thumbnails, and exported clips are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us or any third party. Exports leave your device only when you explicitly save them to your Photo Library or share them through iOS.
Anonymous Analytics
We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, aggregated usage events. TelemetryDeck identifies your installation with a daily-rotated hash derived from your device's vendor identifier. This hash cannot be linked to you personally and resets every 24 hours.
What We Collect
We collect the following events: app launches; project creations; export starts, completions, and failures. Each export event includes the chosen output format (GIF, Live Photo, or MP4), whether background removal, text overlay, or cropping was used, the approximate output size in kilobytes, and, on failure, the error type. We do not collect the content of your media, the text of your overlays, file names, locations, IP addresses, advertising identifiers, contacts, or any directly identifying information.
Photo Library Access
iamb requests permission to add items to your Photo Library so you can save exported clips. We do not read your existing photos or videos beyond the items you explicitly select through the iOS picker.
Third Parties
TelemetryDeck (telemetrydeck.com) processes the anonymous analytics events described above on our behalf. We do not share data with any other third party.
Children
iamb is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your Choices
Because our analytics are anonymous, we cannot identify or delete a specific person's data. You can stop new events from being sent by deleting iamb from your device.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date above and surface the change in-app on next launch.
